Well, I think I'm going to bow out of BDO. I wasn't able to play much for a couple of weeks, so I got out of the habit. Now that I have time again, it's just not as much fun. The sheer amount of time it takes to feel like you're accomplishing anything is mostly what gets to me, I think. Thanks Malki...

There are drawbacks to a game that's being localized from Korean, but this isn't one of them! Until we get caught up to the Korean game, updates will probably be a lot quicker than most MMOs.

Probably should also have mentioned that my family name is ineffablebob. Though that's probably a surprise to approximately no one.

I finally got around to installing BDO and made a character named Celanu. Sent a friend invite to Malkion but I'm not sure if anything actually happened. Anyhow, if there's a guild to join or whatever, count me in!

I picked up the lowest-tier supporter package for Black Desert. Haven't had time to really mess around with the beta, figure I'll wait for launch to get into it. Looking forward to seeing what it has to offer, though.

The newsletter that went out earlier today also got marked as spam in my GMail account. The filter Wind mentions won't catch that, since the from address is "newsletter@newoutriders.org". The filter should work for everything coming from a NOR domain if you use "newoutriders.org"...

I got one, although I'm going to wait until January to activate it since I don't have...

I know the group runs Operation events a couple of times a week, but as I found out last week my preferred account status isn't so good for that. Subscribing again isn't in the cards for me in the near term. In the meantime, I was thinking it might be fun to run some Flashpoints with some guild folk...

Thanks everyone who was on the run tonight with this newbie on his first ever Operation. Especially for providing the weekly unlock since I'd just dropped into Preferred status and didn't realize that meant Operations were locked out. It was fun and I appreciate the help!
