April 2nd 2013 SM Karagga's Palace

This was our first week that we had 2 raids scheduled, with the newly appointed DMG in charge hosted by Arttoheed.

With the big update just days away we changed this weeks 2 raids to Tier 1. We have had a lot of fresh 50s due to the Double Xp Weekends that are leading up to the expansion launch so it was though best not to do Tier 2s till after the new update.

April 4th 2013 SM Eternity Vault

Tonights raid was a full NOR group plus we had 3 more NOR waiting to take the spots of a couple late arrivals, but they made us aware they were coming and would only be afew minutes late. So after once they logged on we were in zone moments later using the GroupFinder. The first boss went down on the first try and we made it to Gharj quick enough. However with Gharj there must have been a StoryMode update, because with the dogs came out the island did not sink like normal. So when we all ran to the next island the orginal island remained while the one we ran to sunk, /chuckle. So lesson learned and we were prepared the next time.

The next 2 bosses went down without much story. However Soa must have been mopping the dreaded stair way with grease while we spent the last few weeks in Karagga's Palace, because it took us a few attempts to make it down to the bottom platform safely:) Over all it was a very successful night, we got done a few minutes early and there was talk of putting together a 16player OP soon due to the large number of active raiders.

Milestone! First NOR completion of HM Eternity Vault, not only did we complete it but we had no deaths during the boss fights:) We may have had a Artto train derail death but we aren't counting that one, or that self inflicted ACKKK i'm trapped in a gun turret issue Riveni may have experienced. yep it was a no death run

Way to go everyone, the 2.0 update has really helped with the gear and is going to allow us to have more success on some of the Operations we haven't made it all the way through yet!

After the Branch Meeting NOR took down the Level 50 World Boss on Belsavis in the Tomb area, "The Primal Destroyer" on our first attempt!! After that we headed for Hoth to look for Garath and Snow Blind, but unfortunately neither were around.

04.18.13 Thursday 9est SM Explosive Conflict2nd half

Another NOR first and successful operation. This was the second time NOR had entered Explosive Conflict, with the higher gear and higher level we were able defeat all the bosses and complete the raid. Several members were able to complete the speeder "Fire" mission and drive off in a new vehicle! We were able to take down the first boss on our first try, mostly because most of us were familair with the mechanic already. The remaining bosses took a couple tries each, but overall we progressed quite quickly. Thanks a ton RT from TCL for explaining the mechanics and getting us through to the end!

I forgot to pass out the crafting loot, so i will be contacting everyone to pass those out. /sorry:(

Turned out to be a very quick run through HM EV. Just over 1 hour with only 1 hiccup on the dreaded SOA stairs. Nethrisa from TCL filled in our extra DPS slot, and several members got some nice gear upgrades. Overall a fast, efficient run. Even had time to run a 55 HM after

04-05-2013 Nightmare Mode Karagga's Palace!

Surprise! Nightmare Mode! With the last few record time clears of Hardmode EV/KP, we decided last minute we would try a Nightmare Mode for the first time. So without telling the last minute arrival Riveni, we all zoned into the Nightmare Mode Karagga’s Palace. The trash mobs didn’t seem any different and when we arrived at the Rancor the battle the mechanics seemed to be quite similar to Hardmode. I’m not sure how but Riveni noticed a difference pretty quick and knew we were in a harder zone.

We cleared the first 3 bosses without much effort and were expecting to get the fancy new title for clearing NM KP under the 2hr timer. But then we reach the puzzle boss, we have done this boss many times before but something was different. We have not yet researched what was different, but we had a hard time getting him down before he enraged. We tried moving him to different locations when firing the rocket at him and we gave it several attempts. After calling it a night a few minutes early, we broke into 2 groups and ran a quick Hardmode flashpoint.
Overall we got defeated 3 new bosses to add to our Progression list and got a few good loot drops

After rounding out our lineup for the night with Riv's commando, we proceeded to have a flawless (no deaths) run through HM KP. Excellent loot drops including the speeder and the famous "bell helmet", along with some great drops for Riv's commando rounded out the night. Team chemistry really showed in the smoothness of the cc rotations and kill orders. Congrats to all!

05.07.13 Tuesday 9est SM Explosive Conflict

I think this is technically another NOR first, as it was a full NOR group tonight and we cleared EC! We had 2 players who hadn't been in the zone before, and it was the first time tanking the instance for both tanks. First boss went down in a little under 4 mins, but the 2nd boss (the tanks) gave us some fits. After some quick googling and conferring with an ally guild, we very sloppily took down the tanks . After 1 hiccup on the puzzle boss, we took it out without a problem on the 2nd try. Kephess turned out to be a pushover with our good dps and coordination focusing on the bombers. Videos of the op will be coming soon....

In addition to the operation tonight, we had several promotions from Tundrra. First, Riveni was bumped up to Count rank leaving us with no barons. Tundrra took care of that by promoting Poxi and Arttoheed to Baron Status. Congrats to all on a very eventful night!!
