Old v. New (Forums)
Re: Old v. New (Forums)
I agree it is much easier to post here Was starting to get painful on the other server. I am glad we switched, and I have said it before and will again, but thanks Las for all your work on these boards and anyone else who has been involved with some of the new changes that have been happening with NOR.

I like how much "simpler" these boards feel too. I know you, Las, were trying very hard to clean up the old boards. Some of those sections had so many Subforms, one could get lost!

And I thought I was posting a lot . . . I'll never catch up! But to second Rallis, thanks Las for moving us over to these new forums and for your hard work! They are so much easier to use!

True that - and once we got into trying to sort out the permissions and the roles, I was beginning to realize it was the Gordian Knot of forums.Ojike wrote:I like how much "simpler" these boards feel too. And you're certainly welcome - I appreciate the thanks and the support everyone. I haven't totally given up on the old boards - at least, as far as getting them relocated and preserving them for posterity.
Re: Old v. New (Forums)
Is anybody else concerned that only 45 people have joined the new forums?
Perhaps we should get this in our guild messages of the day and get the information out to the people that don't frequent the forum quite as often.

Actually I think this is a fair indication of who is active and who isn't. Tun sent out a follow up announcement via his Newsletter database and I posted a redirect page on the old forums.Talolan wrote:Is anybody else concerned that only 45 people have joined the new forums?

Frankly, I am surprised there are 45.

Generally, I'm all for fewer rules, but membership (not necessarily participation) in the forum should be mandatory.
