Battle of Ilum

Due to Halloween parties on the west coast and carnage on the east coast, we had a well rounded group of 4 log in for Tuesday's Endgame. We decided to run Gilen through his first HM Flashpoint instead of pulling together a OP. In the end we claimed our 6 BH Comms but man it took a few tries:p We were hoping for some good drops for Gilen, but I believe only a single pair of pants ended up dropping that he could use. Overall it was a good night and a good challenge, next Tuesday we should be back to our normal Raid crew with SM Eternity Vault as our target:)

VICTORY!!! What a great Raid night everyone! NOR's first completed Raid Operation!
We had a bit of a false start on the first boss and had a wipe to start the night off but everyone was in good spirits and the 2nd go around was flawless, other then Riveni getting stuck in a turret:p 

Gharj went down on the first try, I think we were a little slow on DpS but we made through it regardless! The puzzle boss had a bit of mix up, Tundrra misinterpreted the starting center icon with the outer icon so all the solutions were wrong for the south team, sorry guys:(  This caused us to wipe, however we managed to complete the puzzle on the first attempt just a little sloppier then normal:p

The external council went pretty smooth, it took 2 attempts due to not killing them all fast enough but no deaths or disqualifications:) Then finally the dreaded SOA and his unforgiving stairwell!  As we suspected going in it would take a couple wipes to get the stairs memorized, Janice did a great job leading the charge, however they were pressed for time and had to be replaced by Ecnalubma.   Ecnalubma must have had a good luck charm with him because we made it to the bottom level pretty quickly:)  Once at the bottom It took another wipe to have the tanks learn the Falling Pylon shield break mechanic, but after that we made it look easy!

We advanced further into KP then we had before, taking out Foreman Crusher on our first attempt! We called the night on the puzzle boss, due to the late hour, since it was our first time there we had a few practice tries learning the missle control puzzle. We have no worries about progressing past this part next time:) The first couple bosses took a few extra tries, but our 2 PuG players were great and I have a feeling we will be seeing more of them soon in raids to come.

Nice, Tundrra! An alliance would do great things for both ours and their guilds. Missing out on some instances just stinks and an alliance would be just great! Just be sure to agree on loot rules up FRONT. Of course, I know you know that!

Uhhggg...not our best night, we had a 50min late start. Then a series of wipes which we won't go into:p Next week we will be doing SM EV to get us back on track and bring a little pay back to those Turrets!
