Before anybody contributes to the Camelot Unchained Kickstarter if you were planning to, can we see if we have enough support in NOR to hit one of the guild tiers? The lowest is:

Pledge $600 or more
GUILD OF THE VEIL - DIGITAL ONLY
Our first guild-oriented tier includes all the WARRIOR rewards for you and 9 of your friends + RESERVED NAMING RIGHTS for your guild (unless the guild's name is trademarked/copyright by someone else) + BETA 1 ACCESS + 300 TOTAL FOUNDER’S POINTS to be split between guild-mates (as determined solely by the owner of this pledge) + an ADDITIONAL ONE MONTH OF SUBSCRIPTION TIME (THREE months total) for each copy (non-transferable) + FOUNDER’S DISCOUNT upgraded to 2% (only for owners of the 10 original copies; other guild members will not receive the discount) + FORUM BADGE UPGRADE TO SILVER + TOTAL NUMBER OF EXTRA BETA INVITES UPGRADED TO FOUR (PLEDGE OWNER ONLY) AND TOTAL NUMBER OF CHARACTER SLOTS UPGRADED AT LAUNCH BY FOUR (ALL COPIES). All TEN digital copies come with BETA 1 ACCESS. Estimated delivery of Beta 1 Access: February 2015.

The next two guild tiers are at $1200 and $1700 and come with 20 and 30 copies of the game.

Just an FYI, if I pledge solo, it'll be at the $110 tier. So that is $110 for NOR.

I was just going to do 25-30.. but if we get enough I will do up to $50 as I am really into the idea of NOR doing this together. I don't have a lot of cashflow up front but if someone was willing I would even be willing to go in for more than $50 and pay someone payments. I just don't really have more than that in one lump sum to spend in a given month and no savings to draw from right now.

How does this work anyhow. Have never paid anything on Kickstarter. Do you pay the money at the end of the kickstarter campaign or upon delivery?

Honestly, I forget because I've only backed 1 project. But I believe you pay at the end of the campaign, if the campaign makes.

If the project dies in development, you paid for nothing. That is the downside.

For the Guild contribution, one person is responsible for paying the lump payment. So if we do the $600 tier, I will pay it (or somebody else if that works better), and I would expect each NOR member that a agreed to pay, to send me a check to offset their contribution. :)

A better 'solution' would be to donate the money to NOR via the non-profit, and have the non-profit manage the Kickstarter. But we still haven't lined up the money, so we can wait on that. :)

Yes.. that is how we should certainly do it if we get up to the amount needed. So first tier is only 10 people correct?

So it looks like to get to the $600 and have everyone who pledges get a copy of the game stuff each person new person would need to do $48. We could then all put it into the NOR fund and I suppose Las? would then need to use the fund to purchase it? I would say that since only one name I believe goes on the intial kickstarter thing that whoever contributed the most to the fund would need to be considered the "owner of the pledge"

We can do that.
