So where does Drizzt live?

Post by Tundrra »

I spent the weekend downloading DDo, I thought I would visit the sights and try to get some photos of the famous characters of the underdark:)

Now that fall is here I have a little extra time, so I will be spending just a couple hours a week on the F2play service to break up the flashy space with some classic high fantasy:)

So I will be keeping a eye out for you folks and your airship:)

Woot!! That is exciting. Looking forward to seeing you in game.

I am guessing if Drizzt were to live somewhere it would be in the new Forgotten Realms. Don't think he would enjoy Eberron much.

I can picture a world without war, a world without hate.
And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

Just look around the newb zone - every 10th character will be named some variation of Drizzt. :dunno1

The community in DDO is a bit odd, actually, the starting zones can be as bad as Barrens chat, but as soon as you're past the first week or so's content, it's the most pleasant playerbase I've ever pugged with (not that there aren't still occasional jerks, but the immature players seem to lose interest at fairly low level).

I had my name reserved from way back when it first went free 2 play I had never been past level 2 though:( I deleted that toon last night and rerolled to a cleric named "Tundrra". I'm still on the beach about to head into the cave:)

My leveling will be slow so don't get to excited, however my pc will play swToR and DDo at the same time:p So I may be on slightly more then i first thought:)

Sent a guild invite to "Tundrra" (in game mail). There's a mailbox in the Harbor if you leave the starter island.

LOL, you can leave the starter island a any time, but most people prefer to play through the introductory quests first and get comfortable with the controls and combat basics. You can spend an evening or two on the starter island, or leave right away, but on your first character there's nothing wrong wit taking your time.

Skorj, is there a way to change the movement controls? I'd much prefer to control my character's movement with the mouse instead of my left hand. It just feels awkward. :)

In options, under keybinding, there are three choices to start from: classic, FPS, and default. Not suyre what they all are, as I've been moving with WASD since forever. Might be worth some experimentation. If those don't work for you, I'm pretty sure you can bind "move forward" and "Steer" to the mouse buttons of your choice, but then you'll need to find a home for whatever they're bound to now, and so on. The controls are very customizable, it's just time consuming to do so.
