Basics of EQN and EQNL
-What is Everquest Next vs Everquest Next: Landmark?
Everquest Next is going to be the next MMO in the Everquest series. EQN will feature Classes, Races, Combat and all that you would expect from an MMO. EQNL is a sandbox game similar to Minecraft where you can create buildings and structures after finding materials. This will have the same engine and mechanics as EQN but will let you use the develpoer tools to create a unique experience you can truly call your own.

-Is this just Everquest 3?
No. The entire lore is being redone for this game similar to the way JJ Abrams rewrote the lore for Star Trek when he was working on the new movie so that new viewers wouldn't be lost in the lore which has built up over the years. EQN is following this system to breath new life into existing lore and so that anyone new to the franchise wont need to read through 14 years worth of expansions!

-Where can I find out more about the lore of EQN?

Launch Schedule and Packages

-What are the EQN Roundtables?
The EQNRoundtable is where once a week the developers will ask a question about either EQN or EQNL. After a few weeks they will put a responce video out talking about why they asked the question, what the communitys answer was and what they are going to do about said topic.

-Do the Founders Pack for EQN:L apply to EQN?
No. The founderpacks for EQN:L only contain perks for EQNL and have no connection with EQN

-When will EQN launch? When is alpha/beta?
Currently unknown, People are guessing Winter 2014 but its more likely to be 2015

-When will EQN:L launch? When is alpha/beta?
EQNL has no launch date yet, but alpha will begin on or before February 28th 2014 and beta will begin on or before March 31st 2014

-What is Free to Play? What will cost money?
Free to Play is a game that has no fee to get to the game and no subscription to maintain. Most free to play (F2P) games have a pretty mediocre reputation within the MMO community. Since the game costs nothing the Developers will make thier money with in-game micro-transactions. This will let a player buy a cosmetic item with real money that will not let them have an advantage over another player apart.

-What platforms will EQN be available for launch?
So far we only have confirmation of a PC release but there are rumors that it will also be available for PS4.

-What items will I keep from alpha to beta? from beta to live?
Between Alpha and Beta you will only loose the claim you have built on, but you can save anything you have build on the claim in a blueprint. Is is currently unknown what we will loose between Beta and release.

Game Mechanics
-What is vertical progression versus horizontal progression?
This is quite difficult to explain so I'm going to refer you to LockSixTime's video where he talks about this. In a nutshell. There will be no levels in EQN, just Different classes you unlock over time. The more classes you unlock the more spells you have at your disposal.

-What type of fast travel will be in the game?
So far we only know of one system where we can travel to different biomes using a credit system. These credits can be crafted ingame or bought with real money

-What is Heroic Movement?
Heroic movement is a parkour based movement system. For example; Your character runs at knee high wall. They will jump over it without you having to press jump at anypoint.

-How will death work?

-What is a voxel?
A voxel is a small block that a object/landscape is made out of. If one of these blocks is taken out then the object looks like a chuck has been taken out of it. This means all of the object/landscape can be destroyed leaving a lasting impact on the world since players will be able to dig into the environment. -Will there be a day/night cycle?
Yes. EQN will be running on the Forgelight engine which is the same as the one in Planetside 2 which as an AMAZING day/night cycle!

-How long will the day/light cycle be compared to real world?
This is currently a question on the roundtable so be sure to check it out! The winning answer at the moment is "Slightly longer day/night cycles would be preferred, so that you can enjoy the passing of time."

AI
-What is emergent AI?
Emergent AI is where the AI act almost like a human being. If you do some good or bad the NPC will remeber what you've done and possibly praise or avoid you in the future. This means every decision you make in this game, the game will remember.

-Will the AI be difficult?
Hopefully it will be complex enough to provide an insightful experience and simple enough so it would hinder the gameplay. Not much is known about the AI at his point but from what we've heard we're going to see something we've never seen before.

Classes and Combat
-What classes will be in EQN?
Over all there will 40 Classes in total which a player will be able to learn. We are unsure of what these classes will be.

-What will combat be like in EQN?
Combat in EQN will be similar to that in Guild Wars 2. The combat will be action orientated so you will need to consecrating on the fight if you want to stand a chance. You will also be able to dodge some ability's if you are able to run out of the way in time.

-What will combat be like in EQN:L?
Similar to that in EQN but is unconfirmed.

-Will there be PvP?
Yes. But we are unsure of what it will include

-What are skill slots? What type of skill slots will I have?
Over all you have 8 abilities. Your first 4 ability's will depend upon what weapon you have equipped. If you play a Warrior with a shield, your ability would be more defensive than one with a great sword. You also have another 4 abilities that you can choose from the classes you have learned as you've been playing. This will let you make up your own play style.

Gear and Items
-What type of stats will be on items
Unknown.

Crafting
-What crafting trades will be included in the game?
Unknown. Crafting is confirmed for EQNL though.

Social
-How will guilds be setup in EQN? EQN:L?
Guilds will be set up so that A player would be able to join a guild and still have access to join other guild without having to leave the other one. Details are still unconfirmed

-Can I grief other players by destroying their builds?
No. Players buildings and creations can only be changed by anyone who has permission to do so. You wont be able to run around and make holes in people's houses, unless they give you permission to do so.
