Bammer, it's kind of a gamble for functionality but Windows 10 is currently free to download in it's preview form if that would get the job done until you are able to get a more "complete" OS.

If it's anything like the Win7/Win8 previews, I wouldn't use that on a main computer. Reason being that to 'upgrade' from Win7/8 preview to full, it was a wipe-and-reinstall. Reason being, the upgrade from preview -> full would have taken a lot more testing. And, the preview is usually the 'ultimate' edition that they'd have to downgrade to any other edition.

Win7 Home Edition is just fine for playing Neverwinter. Only need Win7 Pro for joining domains and other business-oriented features.

There is a free upgrade from Win7/8 to Win10 for the first year of Win10's life, and probably not a reinstall required.
