Elysiuis 21 dragon escape aftermath
  • -Mara flew after the dragon... not able to catch up, took note she was flying south-west into the Mere of Deadmen. The group left the dragon lair heading towards Boske’s village.

    -Daesy sent messages to Leilon, to the silver dragon, Triboar all warning of the possessed dragon.
    -We picked up some oldmaw teeth and discard scales for future use and made our way to Ieirithymbul.
    -In the village Boske spoke to the “edlers” meaning the protective gold dragon to discover a way of removing the Possession.
    -Daesy dropped our 4 wyvern wings off for some future magical creations, and then we headed off to Leilon.
    -Just outside Leilon we contacted Darnell Harpell and he appears, gives us a sending stone (Norm) for use if dragon attacks.

Elysius 24 back in Leilon
  • -The town construction advances, there is no longer people in tents outside the newly repaired walls.
    -Quest board: Neverwinter is asking for troops to deal with road bandits.
    -Second quest is to go south and clean a group of bandits called the Chimera crew in Mere of deadmen.
    -Merchant has some very expensive magic items.

    -Wanting to scout on Gnawbone we head out south to deal with the bandits crew and keep our eye on any growing dangers from the swamp.
    -We see a group of zombies in the distance and take Gutbur’s lead to deal with them.

    Roll for Initiative!

    -As we attack the zombies, 2 people appear and are battling the zombies, a call for us to stop them.
    -In the middle of the fight, they turn on us.
    -The fight ends when all is dead except the Lady turncoat who is bound and unconscious.
    -Mara casts Comprehend Language and surge, as she is surrounded by ethereal music

Session Number 59: Chimera Crew means triple amount of mobs!

Elysius 24 - Interrogation
  • -After battling the undead patrol and capturing one of the human combatants we searched the prisoner and investigated the area.
    -We find some longsword, shortsword and heavy crossbow. Gutbur find tracks all coming from the south.
    -Niri our prisoner is unconscious, we awake her for questioning.
    -She doesn't reply to Bos'ke questions, so Mara takes out Priscilla the cursed dagger and intimidates Niri.
    -We learn Niri is part of the Chimera Crew, a bandit gang, paid by priests of Myrkul to watch over a horde of undead at the tower hangout. Rega is the bandit crew leader and there is about 12 of them in the crew. The tower is 1 hour south and there are more zombies there, she was just chasing these ones as they escape.
    -The group take a short rest and make way south, late pm.
No plans would have been better than this plan
  • -The group plan to let Boske sneak on top of the keep tower and drop a rope for us to climb while it's dark.
    -As with any sneaky plans, fails miserably and the whole keep is alerted.
    -Boske had climb the tower, but was swarmed with 8 groups of ravens.

    - N thunderstep up the tower, the roof crumble with N and B falling down a room full of zombies, B is already unconscious from fall damage

Session Number 61: Flat Faerunians
Date: Wednesday, August 19

We finish the long rest on Elysius 25 morning. We spend the next day in the keep to check if anyone would come back. No such things. Make our way back to Leilon Elysius 26 late pm.

Shopping around, collect our rewards, meet a furniture merchant that isn't a Flat Faerunian. Finish another long rest.

Elysius 27, we visit the merchants and buy 20xBlow blossom, 4xphoenix bloom and 4x whistle weed seeds and plant them at our house.

We decide to go to plead with Lord Nevermember for troops protection for Leilon roads. We make our way and meet Captain Rorsta Anvilhand who take use to the boats. The crew, appear human, yet speak with elvish accent. Norm notices the captains of each ship have a magical headband or gem.

Travel to Neverwinter is without accident, and we petition to Lord Nevermember. We get an audience and easily sway him into lending protection to Leilon, he will be sending 500 soldiers, for 250gp.

Captains ask to return to Leilon that night which we agree. Norm insight check (nat 20) reveals that he now understand this crew are probably drow, hence why travelling at night is easier for them. On the trip back, Mara pretends to be normal. Roll for initiatives!

7 Invisible stalker are attacking this boat, while it seems the other boat is also under attack!
End of session, middle of combat. Elysius 27 late at night.

Session Number 62: Level up!

We finish the fight with the invisible stalkers on both boats. We manage to revive a captain that had fallen in combat. Nobody knows why the boat was attacked. We finally make our way back to Leilon and finish the night (no long rest)

In the morning, the merchant is potions.

Leilon regroup
The group finish the long rest in Leilon and the next day made their way to the Oddity shop to sell some items Daesy had been storing away. Boske went to the Tower to speak with Gallio. He offers the group to go on the ethereal plane and grab some creatures and bring them back to this plane and in prison them under his control of the tower beacon, to use as City defenders. Mara says it's a bad idea to enslave creature, but the group sees only see 200gp as reward and decide to do it anyway... (or it is a way to protect the town from the impending dragon attack)

The group rings the bell of the tower and venture on the ethereal plane. 6 star spawn manglers have been attracted to the beacon on that side of the planes. The group easily grapple and drag them to the normal plane. As all creature are now on our plane, Gallio touches the beacon and loses consciousness, freeing all the Star Spawn Mangler... Mara yells to Oswin Spear "I told you so" and goes back to the ethereal plane to save Gallio, while the group make short change of the manglers...

While on the ethereal plane, Mara meet one of the Guardian (Sword of Lelion), who tells her that the beacon is too powerful to be handled, and that nothing good would come out of it... After feeding a potion of healing to Gallio, they make their way back to the normal plane.

This beacon is a rune we have heard about before and it is wanted by dark powers. Galileo may know more than he has led on about this tower.

Hallowed Union Work
Elysius 28, the group review the events at Galleo's tower after he had activated the ruinstone. Galleo say's he's done here and he's a failure, teleporting back to neverwinter. Swords of Leilon advise us to get ready as the day of reckoning is coming.

Shopping montage at the pet store, we get an eagle and owl. We start casting Hallowed ground on the south gate, the tower. Long Rest

Elysius 29, Zorroth start hallowed ground at the north gate. While casting, we all hear the alarm cry for help, the deads are attacking!

We gather at the south gate and notice a horde of ghouls attacking. Roll for initiatives!

End of session in the mist of killing dozens of hunded. - Elysius 29

-Leilon Merchant tells us as alarms sound that there is attacks on the Key Side and the Gate. Storm lord's berskers barbarians are coming from the North Gate and undead from the marsh.
-Norm searches the sky for dragons and aakroka's sees a storm approaching.
-As we head to the gate, we see fires and the slamming of the gate trying to open.
-Norm cast Fly on Zorroth and Boske 60' speed for 10mins.
-Boske sees the battlign ram hitting wall and searches for casters
-Norm cast Sending Stone to the Harpells for Help.
-Mara shoots a Fireball at the battling ram

  • Mara: empowered Fireball (32dmg), bardic inspires Gutbur.
    Bos'ke: Firebolt and a Crossbow Bolt
    Gutbur: Climbs Wall to Perch upon it, ATHLETICS check pass, 2 Javelins to the front of the battering Ram.
    Daiseyrilniwick: Wonder Twin Powers to Norm,
    Zorroth: Sacred Flame and duck down behind the gate while flying.
    Barbarians:
    Gutbur 4 DEX saves, 2 saves 2 fails, Lighting Bolts come flying for 49dmg
    Mara 4DEX saves, 57 lighting dmg
    Norm: Bracing the Wall and sees a Orb of Scrying floating the area

  • Mara: shouts "that casters are holding a spell", empowered Fireball 5th lvl (35dmg)
    Bos'ke: Minor illusion of himself and sets off the zealots lighting bolts and a Crossbow Bolt
    Gutbur: 3 Javelins to the front of the battering Ram, then jumps down to the ground on the protected side
    Daiseyrilniwick: brace the beam with the immoveable Rod, healing word to Gutbur
    Zorroth: toll the dead and ducks down behind the gate while flying, healing word to gutbur

    move to pick up the battering Ram.

  • Mara: Greating healing potion down, then casts invisibility, flies 20' up 10' forward
    Bos'ke: moves to above gutbur and casts a Minor illusionof Gutbur to see if it gets blasted by lightining and a Crossbow Bolt

    Daiseyrilniwick: healing word to Gutbur, hand full of seeds in hand awaiting to throw them if the gate opens.

  • Mara: Empowered Fire ball, 31 dmg, drinks another Greater healing pot.

    Zorroth: flys up and fires crossbow.

  • Arcane Circle appears on ground, long robed people pop into existents, fireballs and magic missile flow through the sky. Doyle Harpel says they got the gate.
Their scrying shows the town square is under attack.
War Drums in the background and lighting is hitting solider, the drums hearing from a hill outside of town.
Mara flips a coin to head to hills alone, and the rest of the party heads to the chaos of the town square.
Green dragon is swooping down.

Mara: mara Flys to the hills
Bos'ke: Casts Blindness on the Undead Dragon (fails horribly)
Gutbur: Javilins

Norm: Pelts it with Eldrich Blasts.

Dragon takes out half of the fighter and villagers.
Boske CON save as the Breath Weapons (68/half) Necrotic dmg not poison, due to the possession.

Mara: mara Flys to the hills
Bos'ke: flys behind her and Casts Blindness on the Undead Dragon (fails horribly) flys behind her
Gutbur: Javilins
Daiseyrilniwick: Banishment (fails)
Zorroth: Runs away
Norm: Hexblade Curse

Dragon Lands
Round 1
  • Bites and Claws
    Mara: Away at the hills
    Bos'ke: flys to the back of the dragon and ADV attacks 3 times with Mother Wurm's Scimtar
    Daiseyrilniwick: Wind wall and suspects the dragon is no longer immune to poison.
    Gutbur: Rage, attacks with Volgnir twice.
    Zorroth: moves up to hit attack the cultists
    Norm: Sword wants to taste the blood of dragon, casts Staggerin Smite on his Cursed Flametongue sword, and uses the Nightbringer mask for a short rest.
    Drops concenteration and Boske and Zorroth no longer are flying.
    4 attacks and a Eldritch Smite, action Surge and attacks 2 more.
    Cultists attack dragon with lightings and hit us in the crossfire.
-Dragons Takes flight
-Oppurnity attacks as she flees and Boske holds on tight to its back.
-Once in the safety of the air the Dragon Cure wounds on its self,
-Boske ADV attacks 3 times with Mother Wurm's Scimtar and then jumps from his back with a Feather fall.

Session Number 65.5: Spotlight on Mara
Date: Wednesday, September 19
Players: (D(M)ara (Kermit), Harpells (Lasarian & Stellmarii)
Dungeon Master: Talolan

Mara, having split from the party, flies toward the beat of drums. She takes leadership of a group of Harpell wizards and quickly fell over a group of 6 wereboars hitting drums, calling lightning down on the village. A showdown of fireballs between Mara, Abjurer Harpell, Diviner Harpell and Enchanter Harpell quickly takes care of them.

Next, the group spot a imposing figure surrounded by half-orcs: The Champion of Talos Fheralai was back. Mara had killed her, looks like Talos brought her back...

This fight was a bit harder, but again spells like charms, hold and fireball came in hard and decimated the group.

Mara was happy with the Harpell's assistance, and the Harpells were greatly impressed with her skills, maybe they invited her to join their family? No time to discuss, Gnawbone is coming back on Leilon, time to go save the city!

Date: Wednesday, October 7

Dungeon Master: Talolan

Dragon flew full speed towards the tower, when the body went limp crashign into the tower and down to the ground, the shadowy figure of the black dragon floats outside the protected area.
Ebon then flys towards the fallen green body. Spector of the black dragon looks to regain the body as the party sees the green dragon attempting to stand with ist many wounds.

-boske shouts a warning to gnawbone of the approaching threat
-gutbur bare down towards the spector.

Initiative
Round 1
-BK dragon lands and engages Gutbur, CHR save to Gutbur (fail) The spector absorbs into Gutbur.
-Daesy: Banished Gutbur, leaving a shadowy dragon in his place
-Claug: says we will be rewarded if they defend him
-Gutbur: prays to the battle lords
-Norm: attacks the BK dragon
-Boske: stands to defend the green dragon attacks from afar
-Zorrath: blesses his comrades and casts spirit weapn

Round 2
-BK : attempts to posses daesy
-Daesy: spirit guardians
-Claug: nothing
-Gutbur: takes attacks Bk
-Norm: attacks BK
-Boske: attacks from afar and keeps a defensive postion on claug
-Zorrath: bane on BK, attacks

Round 3
-BK : Wis save throw to group (FAIL: gutbur) Frightened.
-Daesy: tries to decipher what spell they were hit with. shillelagh attack, healing word to boske
-Claug: casts cure wounds on her self.
-Gutbur: attacks with disadvantage but recklessly as he is frightened of the shadow monster.
-Norm: attacks
-Boske: attacks
-Zorrath: attacks

Round 4
-BK: he says we will meet again and this is not over, then he disappears.

-Daesy: The dragon is damaged come quick and bring help" message to Mara
-Claug: she begins to walk to towards the gate and stretch.
-Gutbur: walks to Zorroth, and holds an attack if Claug makes a move and watches Norm,
-Norm: "we will not allow you to fool us like you did the kingdom of ...." casts 2nd wind and charges at the dragon, with many swipes.
-Boske: "We defended you in battle, but we must defend the region" and charges with an attacks
-Zorrath: bonecounter hits its mark.

Round 5
-Daesy: wind wall
Legendary action. tail swing to boske
-Claug: back legs and beats her wings (WIS saving (FAILed all but norm and daesy) Frightened. slowly begins to keep walking, and his attacked with opportunities.
-Gutbur: reckless attacks
-Norm: gets in front of her and attacks
-Boske: firebolt through windwall, but to afraid to go closer
-Zorrath: sacred flame

Round 6
-Daesy: drops windwall, casts 20' incest plauge
Legendary Resistance to half damage (36/2)
-Claug: I will see you in hell, bites and claws NOrm, spirit shield from gutbur absorb some of the bite. The bond between Norm and Daesy takes effect and takes a healthy hit (38dmg each)
end of its turn the insects cover it and is devoured.

Mara and the Harpells return, the enemies have retreated and a dragon lay dead with its legendary horde lay unprotected.

the town folk cheer and carry us, but daesy pushes them off to harvest the dragon.

Harvested: flesh 150lbs , 9 vials of blood, 15 teeth(reg dmg +3d8 poison dmg and +3 to hit/dmg), 6bones (+3 weapons and if CRIT a extra 10poison dmg), 1 head spines (wand +3 to attack and adv on Poison spells).
most of her items were decayed and ruined from the possession

Zorroth casts Motivational Speech.

Ding LEvel 10

Mara tells us what happened to the talos followers.

The house is still standing, and we are asked to report to the Town in the morning.

The Younger Harpells happy for the excitement but the older ones want to head back to the Ivory Mansion. Darathra will be in town in 2 days according to the wizards. Zorroth corners a older harpell and ask about Drizzt and crew. (offered to have a book signed)

The Guards begin to clean of the bodies and mess. We are offered a 1000 gold to pay for the hallow.

"stay out i will defend this house" housekeeper is wearing Zorroth old armor, she is afraid to go into town incase one of the neverwinter solider are her husband. the armies stayed away from the house due to the wards.

Daesy casts sending to one of the Furblog to alert them their master was freed of the possession. (replied, they will await for everyones return).
