Endgame Gear Guide
Getting Geared at 50 and Ready for the Endgame

So you have reached 50 and need to know how to get the best gear and experience the swToR EndGame:) The age old goal is to conquer the hardest dungeons and get the toughest gear, which is currently the Dread Guard Gear and the HardMode Operation "Terror from Beyond", both came out in update (1.4).

There are several levels of progression of gear you must acquire and zones to clear to get to the current Uberness. You can skip a piece here and there, but for the most part you will have to slowly progress through content to get the best stuff.

Things to do at 50 to prepare for PvE Endgame:

• Complete the "Advance Gear Mission" that rewards 99 Tionese Commendations and buy a set of Tionese Gear which have level 51 stats.
• Find all those hidden datacrons and ask for a guild hosting of a Fleet DataCron run which is a +60 stat boost!
• Save your Daily Commendations and BlackHole Commendations.
  • Use the Daily Comms to buy the Relics and implants. Don't waste them on individual Mods.
  • Use BlackHole Comms to buy Campaign Armor Modifcations & BlackHole Gear pieces, personally I upgraded my non-SetBonus gear first with BH Gear.
• Be sure to have all the [DAILY] & [WEEKLY] missions, located in the "Supply" section of the Fleet.
• Using the LFG tool do the daily Flashpoint and Operation, to get BH Coms.
• Do the Lvl 50 Dailies to gain "Daily Commendations" (Intial daily quests are found in the inner circle of fleet near Cantina for the planets Corellia, Illum, Belsavis, Section X)
• Check the guild bank for upgrades.
• Add a Augment Slot to every piece of gear that is allowed. Due to the expense of this process I recommend only adding Augment Slots and Augmentations to Columi Gear and better.
• Keep a eye out on the GTN for purple lvl 49-50+ augmentations and MK-6 Aug Kits.

What Daily Comms Buy:

• Dread Guard Relics (63) cost: 300 daily comms (1.5)
•  Campaign Relics (61) cost: 200 daily comms (1.2)
•  Rakata ear/implant pieces (58) cost:120 comms (1.2)
•  Gear modifications (51). Don't waste your comms on these single mods, save up for the Rakata + pieces

• Daily Commendations come from, Daily Missions on Corellia, Illum and Belsavis.

• Campaign Armor Modifications with Set Bonuses can be purchased from BH/Campaign Vendor on Fleet, the cost ~40 BH Comms. (1.5)

Hazmat Gear (63) (63)
Where to get Hazmat Gear

• purchase Hazmat implants for 350 BH Commendations on the Fleet Dread Guard Gear Vendor.(1.5)

Dread Guard gear (63) (63)(Rakata Set Bonus attached to armor mod)(1.4)

• Rakata bonuses are attached to armor Modifcation
• Individual modifications are lvl 27.

Where to get Dread Guard Gear

• (HM) Terror from Beyond (OP) (1.4)
• DreadGuard Relics cost 300 Daily Coms and can be purchased from the Daily Vendors. (1.5)

Augment Slots
Add Augmentation Slots using MK-6 kits (lvl 49+) to every equiped pieces so this can be a slow expensive process.

• The MK-6 kit cost around 40k on the GTN.
• The purple Augmentation cost 40k-100k on GTN
• Adding the new slot at a Crafting Table costs 30k

Tips and Tricks

What to do with Duplicate Columi & Rakata Armor Pieces:

Rip the modifications out of your extra Columi(56) armor, mod and enchaments out and put them in some of your other orange gear slots you haven't been able to upgrade yet.  You won't get the set bonus but you will get the stats!

How to get Set bonuses in your Customize Armor

The current set bonuses in the original sets of armor (Tionese, Columi, Rakata) are attached to the item itself, so when you remove all the modifications you lose the bonuses:( This was changed for the newer armor sets (Campaign, Dread Guard) which attaches the set bonus to the armor modification.

With update 1.5 (61)Campaign Armor Modifications with set Bonuses can be purchased with Black Hole Commendations, which means if your tired of running around in that (56)Columi gear that every other player is wearing worry no more.  There are 5 (61)Campaign Armorings available Head, Chest, Hands, Legs and Feet.  They cost 36-45 BlackHole Commendations a piece, so I would start with the Chest and Legs First.  Put the new Armoring in one of your favorite Orange Gear pieces you have been wanting to wear but couldn't because you didn't want to lose your set bonuses.  Then rip the mod and enhancement out of your current piece of armor and put it with your new Campaign Armor Mod.  Before you know it you will have a whole new look!! Don't forget to add the the augmentation slot while your at it:)

- A new set of PvE gear is available! Dread Guard gear is now the most powerful PvE equipment in the galaxy. It can be acquired from deep within Terror from Beyond (Hard Mode).

- The majority of offhand items can now be modified. Shields, Generators, and Foci accept Armoring modifications, and Vibroknives and Shotguns accept Barrels. Additionally, they can contain Color Crystal, Mod, and Enhancement slots (though the Color Crystal slot does not currently impact the visuals of the item). Note that there are some exceptions – not all offhands can be modified. Due to this change, previously damaged offhand items will be fully repaired, but items on the GTN or in the mail will have their durability reduced to 0 and will need repairs.

- New offhand items are now available on Black Hole vendors.

- Completing the Group Finder mission for Operations now rewards a lockbox that contains 5 Black Hole Commendations and 30 Columi Commendations.

-Storymode Operation bosses will no longer drop Black Hole Commendations.

• The cost to remove mods from items has been reduced for subscribers.
• Campaign armorings are now available for purchase on the Black Hole vendor for Black Hole Commendations.
• Dread Guard relics are now available on the Daily vendor for 300 Daily Commendations.

• A new "Introduction to Group Finder" mission has been added to the Daily Mission Terminal on the Republic and Imperial Fleets. This mission is granted when players complete the Advanced Gear mission.
• Group Finder categories have been updated with tooltips that provide a recommended gear rating and an outline of the rewards available from the content.
• 10 Black Hole Commendations are now awarded by Story Mode Operations in Group Finder (up from 5).
• Ancient Artifact Storage Boxes can now be purchased for 25 Tionese Crystals from all Tionese vendors.
• Tionese items available from the Tionese vendor no longer require Tionese Crystals, and most of their commendation costs have been reduced.
