The easiest way to describe Terraria is that its 2D, 16-bit Minecraft, but that description sucks because unlike Minecraft, Terraria actually has gameplay! Additionally, you can join your friends worlds, and they can join yours (multiplayer is a bit of a pain to set up, but once you get going its very fun).
