Oh, man do I remember those well. Back during Lich King, I would do my best to log in before Sindragosa landed.

Now with the new unified Battle.net Application you can bypass the launch screen entirely if you so choose.

I predict that the launch screen for Warlords of Draenor will feature a subjugated Gronn turned into a siege engine, like the War Oliphaunt from Lord of the Rings.

I remember the backlash of Lich King log in screen because it wasn't a portal anymore. x-x

I'm pretty paranoid when it comes to 'apps' like this. Does anyone have any more info on this?

And yeah, I used to try and log in before Sindragosa's roar. Wasn't always successful either. :P

Blizzard made a unified login application for all their games. It also works as a unified patcher for all their games. So you don't have to worry about opening the launcher for each individual blizzard game, downloading its patch on its own, and logging in to each of them every time.
