Black Desert
One of the most beautiful MMOs is coming to the West. Black Desert is a Korean MMO with action-style combat and the most detailed character creators ever. It'll be Pay-to-Play like Guild Wars 2, so you buy the game but there's no subscription. Preorders are available here https://www.blackdesertonline.com/preorder/ and the first closed beta will Dec 16th thru the 22nd. I doubt I'll pick it up, too much already on my plate. (My stack of shame even includes PS2 games ) but thought I'd share
Re: Black Desert
Just thought I'd pop in with a quick warning, as I've been following Black Desert for a number of months now... apprehensively.
Without a doubt, it looks incredible. The character creation alone is jaw dropping, even compared to Single Player RPG's. HOWEVER, like Archeage, there is some sneaky pay2win features that may end up present in the western version. The Korean version already has some pretty ify in-game purchases. I would love for Black Desert to drop that crap and be a full on sub based MMO, but I doubt that happens.
Be warned if you plan on preordering!
Oh and hi everyone We're still alive and I may or may not have let my life fall apart in the wake of Fallout 4.

I loved it! Made me want to go to Boston and follow the Freedom Trail.

Re: Black Desert
I picked up the lowest-tier supporter package for Black Desert. Haven't had time to really mess around with the beta, figure I'll wait for launch to get into it. Looking forward to seeing what it has to offer, though.
Re: Black Desert
I think I'll be picking it up. I need to take a short break from Archeage, getting a little burned out.
Trying to talk wifey into it as well. We'll probably just get $30 package. It looks interesting with all the trade nodes, and having "workers" work for you.
Any others interested?

Re: Black Desert
Looks like it's supposed to have an action combat system. I'll look at some youtubes to see what it looks like.
I really like the action combat in Neverwinter, so I'm always glad to see someone else trying that out.

Re: Black Desert
I recently stumbled across this game and looked at it briefly. If there is a NOR presence that would increase my odds of playing it but will likely wait till post release and see how it turns out before I buy in.
