Castle Crashers (co-op)
CC is a co-operative (4-player) side scrolling beat-em-up. It launched on Xbox Live Arcade, and has sold several million copies on Xbox, PS3 and PC. It fully supports big-picture mode, and has full controller support.

Isaac is a rogue-like twin-stick shooter where you try to escape your insane mother who is trying to kill you. Its messed up and fun.

Half Minute Hero (single player)
Half Minute Hero plays like an old-school console RPG, but you only have 30 seconds to win. Its crazy fast and fun. Its another game with Big Picture and controller support.

10m is a pixel art, RPG/Action/Puzzle game. You build buildings, explore, fight and play through match-3/4 type puzzles.

Grimrock is an old school dungeon crawl in the vein of the early Wizardry games, or Ultima Underworld. You can even make maps on graph paper.
